Earth Communities www.earthcommunities.com.au
The Earth Communities movement is dedicated to creating a world where humanity can act to ensure that planet Earth remains healthy and capable of sustaining all life forms for an indefinite period of time. We endeavour not to harm the planets ability to self regulate the environment, we work to a 10 year plan towards a 100 year goal to achieve this 1000 year ideal.
Earth Communities aim is to provide a alternate economic strategy which will allow individuals, communities and eventually nations to disengage from the capitalistic system and enjoy financial freedom and have time to enjoy their lives more fully and evolve society to a new level while meeting the global environmental challenge.
Earth Communities provide a realistic method for any person to avoid indebtedness and to work with like minded people to build a sustainable and better world. A focus is given to healthy food, safe and comfortable housing, good work and service to others to build unity and strong community spirit. The long term objective is to influence and evolve human society to conserve our planets natural resources for the benefit of future generations and preservation of all species of life on the planet.
The Healing Ground www.thehealingground.com.au
We are based in the Adelaide Hills and have been inspired to run community events in 2012 for the purpose of peace, sustainability, healing and bringing people together to connect, learn and grow. We have been hosting regular monthly family friendly gatherings at Mylor Community Hall with guided group activities such as: drumming, chanting, sound baths, meditations, presentations, chakra dancing, labyrinth walks, art therapy, mandala creation, energy healings, delicious chai and food, and more. We also host Special Events including Conscious Concerts and themes specifically focused for adults. The Shift Festival has been initiated and organised by Deanne Schmid, founder of The Healing Ground and business owner of www.lotusfloating.com.au
The Healing Ground is here to remind people that our natural state is Oneness and Joy... Our events are aimed to bring people together in community to heal and have fun, to strengthen our bond with each other, and with this beautiful planet that gives us life and sustanance. The Healing Ground is about creating a safe and respectful space for people to engage in conscious communication, peaceful and creative activities; to give and receive healing energy; to learn and grow; to accelerate the healing process for individuals and the local community; to strengthen our bond with Mother Earth... with positive flow-on effects for the global community.
The Shift Festival also celebrates Earth Communities taking The Healing Ground under their wing to become a platform for cultural and healing events for members of 'Earth' and the general public to enjoy. We are proud to support the following orgs with funds raised from The Shift Festival!

2013 Conscious Music Festival www.consciousmusicmovement.com
The Conscious Music Festival is an iniative of the Conscious Music Movement, which celebrates artists whose creative motivation is towards unity, peace and positive social change. The CMM's inaugural festival, held ealier this year, was a great success and in order to host another festival next February, they need to raise funds for the various expenses that come with the organising such an event. Earth Communities and The Healing Ground are proud to support this venture via The Shift Festival.
The Conscious Music Movement is helping heal the world with one voice at a time, one song at a time, one listener at a time by bringing messages about our world, self-respect & respecting others. Conscious songs instill positivity and spiritual awareness that we can apply to our lives.

Playing for Change Day www.playingforchangeday.org
Playing For Change Day is a creative day of action that uses the universal power of music to create positive social change. Musicians from all over the world perform on stages, street corners, schools, yoga studios, and cafes to bring music into the lives of young people. In response to the enthusiasm of those inspired by 'Songs Around the World' and the mission of the Playing For Change Foundation, PFC Day was born so that everyone could get involved and become a part of our global community.
About Playing For Change Foundation
Playing For Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The Playing For Change Foundation (PFCF) was established in 2007 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to create positive change through music and arts education. We support music schools and programs that are created and operated by the local community, and then purposefully connect those communities around the world.
To date, PFCF has created eight music schools and programs in South Africa, Ghana, Mali, Rwanda, and Nepal. 600 children participate in regular music instruction. We’re constantly working to strengthen our existing programs and to expand our programmatic reach worldwide. We have plans to create new programs in America, Thailand, and other places as funds allow.
Playing For Change Day is a unique opportunity to advance our mission by fostering even greater connections as we come together to Play For Change. We are so grateful for all of the generous support, the dedicated event creators, and the new friends and partners we met through our first Playing For Change Day in 2011, and we’re excited to be working with the global community to create an amazing Playing For Change Day 2012!
